Dear Brethren.-

Bishop W.R. Davis of Harmony, informs me that Mary Ann Shirts, before her Marriage, Mary Ann Lee, was, by her father, Jos. D. Lee united in matrimony with a person named Dorro, without having been divorced from her husband Don C. Shirts. This statement agrees with the "Original" of the bill sent from here for signature, for I do not find Don C. Shirts' signature in the "original" Now before me, and Bishop Davies informs me that Shirts refused to sign the bill.

Such random, illegal conduct in matters of so much importance is highly reprehensible, and I wish you to get together the parties concerned, at your earliest convenience, and have the affair adjusted upon correct principles.

All bills of divorce must be paid for before the "duplicate" and "triplicates" are handed to the parties; and the parties are not divorced until they receive said "duplicates" and "triplicates." Pay for bills, when other than money, must be delivered in the Genl. Tithing office in this City, or it will not be received.
