Your note of even date, with accompanying anonymous communication addressed to you, is received, and in reply I have to inform you that I do not believe the statement made in said communication, and make it a rule to pay no attention to anonymous statements. The two sisters in the building are there by my counsel, and, so far as I know, they are good women. Should you learn anything amiss in regard to their conduct, I shall be pleased to have you inform me at once.
