Dear Brother:

Br. Allen has just delivered your letter to me, of the 8th inst., inclosing two grain notes. As I have not the articles you write for to spare, not the money to buy them with, I return your notes by br. Allen, who brought them, and inform you that I do not see how I can benefit myself or the Church with said notes

Please accept, by the bearer br. Allen, one pound of Coffee and two pounds of Sugar.
