Dear Brother:-Your wife Rebecca, understanding late remarks and instructions, and not knowing but what you had used tithing or other Church funds for the purchase of the articles you forwarded, has sent all those articles to my Office. Since then br. J.W. Cummings has arranged to have the money expended for those articles refunded to the Church, if it should be, and I shall soon send the articles back to your wife.

As my time is quite busily occupied, I take the liberty to refer you, for some instructions in relation to duties of "Missionaries", &c. to an even date letter which I have written and forwarded to br Jacob Gates at the same time with these lines.
