Elder Paul A. Schettler,
City,

Dear Brother:-Your application of current date is at hand, and the most favorable opening for you at present, so far as I know, in the occupation you wish, is in Tooele and Rush Vallies, clerking for the Bishops in Grantsville, Tooele City, E.T. City, and Rush Valley, under the direction of Bishop William G. Young.

If this opening meets your views, I wish you, so soon as it may suit you, to report yourself and these lines to Bishop Young in Grantsville, in readiness to attend to the clerking he may require in his official capacity, and to visit the bishops in the other aforenamed places and assist them in their bookkeeping, &c., as Bishop Young may from time to time direct you.

Previous to reporting as above, it will be requisite for you to call on my chief Clerk, Elder David O. Calder, and receive instructions in relation to the duties that will devolve upon you in your new sphere of action.

Your Brother in the Gospel,

Brigham Young
