Bishop W. Miller,
Provo, U.T.,

Dear Brother: I wish you to pay the city and school taxes due on my individual and the Church property in Provo, using, for so doing, the tithing grain and such like property as you have or may have in your possession, making the payments to suit in kinds and times, so far as may be consistent, and keeping an accurate account of the amounts so paid, to whom, and on what property, distinctly designation mine and the Church property, and forwarding the accounts to this Office.

Your attention to the foregoing will oblige,
Your Brother in the Gospel,

Brigham Young

P.S. Sister Jemima Young has a yoke of oxen which she probably is not prepared to feed through the winter, and I wish you to say to her that you will winter them for her, if you have plenty of feed; if not, send them to me and I will winter them and let her have them again in the Spring.
B.Y.
