I hereby acknowledge the receipt of your letter resigning your position as Superintendent of the Public Machine Shop, and wish you to turn over to br. Z.W. Derrick the public property, &c., in your charge, and to give him such information in relation to the present condition and affairs of said shop, the tools, and the kinds and whereabouts of public machinery intrusted to your care or otherwise, so far as in your power, and by so doing oblige,
