Elder [name not clear] nson Norton,
Provo, U. T.,

Dear Brother:-In reply to your note in relation to the carding machine, I much prefer to have you come for the machine and superintend its being properly loaded, and accompany it on the way, and see to its being properly unloaded, for I do not wish it injured by having a bake oven, or any other article, thrown onto the cards to ride, as was once done. You can come for the machine at any time that will best suit your convenience, and I will at once forward it with you, if you bring the Teams necessary. If you wish me to furnish the Teams, you may have to wait here a short time, or you may not, depending on what my teams may be doing, or where they may be on your arrival; though I presume you will not be much hindered on that account.

Your Brother in the Gospel,

Brigham Young
