Bishop Andrew Moffitt,

Dear Brother:-You have been ordained a Bishop in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and set apart and appointment Bishop of Manti, Sanpete County, in place of Bishop Warren S. Snow, who has been selected to go on a mission. We wish you to proceed to Manti, at your earliest convenience, and take charge of all matters and things pertaining to the Bishopric in that place, cordially and with much confidence commending you to the faith, prayers, and good works of all Saints in that Ward, which we trust they will extend to you and hearken to all your counsels and examples in in righteousness.

In addition to your official labors and duties, I wish you to take charge of my house and farm in Manti, with full liberty to manage the same according to your judgement and descretion.

Your Brother in the Gospel,

Brigham Young
