Henry W. Lawrence Esqr.
Dear Brother:-The eastern poney has just arrived, but no advises by it from brother Hooper. I presume he has received the power of attorney to collect the money from the Department before this date, and have no doubt but he is using his best energies to collect it.

President Young and company are enjoying a prosperous journey south.

Enclosed you will find Governor A. Cumming's draft for $244.33 upon the Assistant Treasurer of the U. S. St. Louis, in favor of H. B. Clawson. and by him endorsed, which use on account of purchases as formerly advised.

Please envelope the enclosed and forward Poney just going

Your Bro. in the Gospel
