G. S. L. City, July 16, 1861.

Bishop William Miller,
Provo, U. T.,

Dear Brother:-Sister Mary Jones, wife of Cap. Dan. Jones, wrote to me, July 13, / 61, in regard to what she deems some of her family grievances. I write to you, in reply to her letter, and wish you to examine into the affair, first reading to her this letter, and report the result to me.

So far as questions concerning property may arise, it will doubtless be best, under the circumstances, to have the Probate Judge, if the parties can not agree, decide how it shall be distributed.

If br. Jones has turned his wife Mary out door, as she states, she can have a bill of divorce from him at any time she may wish it, upon furnishing you her maiden as well as married name, to be forwarded to enable the Clerk to correctly fill the bill.

Your Brother in the Gospel.
