Your letter of July 23, is at hand, and in regard to the difficulty therein mentioned, I merely have to inform you that it is impossible for me to decide concerning the merits of a case without hearing both sides, for which reason I have nothing to say about it.

Bishops may err at times in their official acts, but if they are sustained by the united faith and good works of their Wards, errors will seldom occur, and when they do, can be easily rectified if all concerned are actually seeking with their mights to do right.

Hoping that you will be able to pay us a visit as you anticipate, and trusting that those striving to be Saints will so act as to have wisdom to settle their difficulties amicably and righteously, I remain,
