To the Captains of our immigrating Companies, en route for this City Brethren

The bearer of this note, Mr Creighton, wishes to employ from your companies some five men until say about the first of November, and when he is through with their services he will provide them transportation to this place.

Should any of the brethren engage in Mr Creighton's employ, they will facilitate the stretching of the telegraph wire, receive prompt payment in money, and oblige
