Elders John W. Young, and Arza Hinkley,
on California Mail Route,

Dear Brethren:--

Two mule teams started to you this morning with grain, hobbles, nosebags, waterkegs &c. I expect soon to start an oxtrain of 7 wagons with poles, and these with the force you now have will enable you to string along the poles pretty fast. I inclose you a copy each of the two last "Extras", which will post you in our latest States news.

As soon as the poles are distributed to where the oxen can manage them, I wish all the horse and mule teams to come home. Whenever you are in want of anything, inform me by mail which passes daily.

All well at home, and affairs moving as usual, work on the Theatre progressing favorably. Instruct the teamsters to distribute the poles as near the holes as convenient and to be careful in unloading so as not to break any.

God bless you.
