Elder John Steele,
Parowan, Iron Co., U. T.,

Dear Brother:-

I was much pleased to learn by your note of Sep 23, that you were about starting a cotton machine in Tokerville, for every movement tending to facilitate the manufacture of cotton tends also to increase its production; but I know nothing of
the saws you write about.

We have been and are doing all that we can toward immigrating the brethren, but cash as you are aware, is the only article that will answer from Liverpool to Florence, and that we have not at present, neither here nor at Liverpool, and cannot now tell you when we will have cash at our control for immigrating purposes. So far as you make deposits of money in this Office, to aid your relations in England, the amount will be placed to their credit in the Liverpool Office, as soon after its reception as the information can be transmitted, which is all the aid I am at present able to promise.

Your Brother in the Gospel,

Brigham Young
