On Telegraph line West,

Dear Brother-As soon as you have the poles distributed as far this way as the mill at the river bed, you are at liberty to return with come home with the <your> mule train, if you think the cattle are able to finish the job without the mules. As the long dry drives are very hard on cattle, it will perhaps be best for you to distribute as far this way as Simpson's Spring. As to what point it will be best for you to quit on, you of course, being on the ground and acquainted with the condition of both the oxen and mules, can judge best; but I hope that yourself and company and mules will be in conditi health and condition sufficient to work as far as Simpson's Spring, should the condition of the oxen require you to do so.

The weather here is cool and lowery, threatening a storm.

Your family and friends are well, the theatre progressing rapidly, the Tabernacle nearly ready for Conference, the immigrating companies all arrived, a great many very busy at molasses making, and affairs in general moving on prosperously.
