Dear Brother:

You are I believe aware of being umpire in case Bros Stringham and Whitmore could not agree in the price of cattle which the President agreed to let Bro Whitmore have in the trade for goods. Bro Stringham sent over word by Bro Richard Ashby last evening that there was no probability of their agreeing. You are therefore requested to come down to the City and go over to the point of the Mountain at Black Rock where the cattle are and where the Brethren are now waiting for you.

Please therefore to give this matter your immediate attention and oblige,
