Dear Sir:

Not knowing the whereabouts of your son and daughter Carl and Martha, nor being able, upon inquiry, to learn whether they are or have been in this Territory, I have put a notice in the "Deseret News", a paper published in this city and circulated throughout the Territory, giving your Post office address and requesting your children, or whoever may have the desired information, to write to you at their earliest convenience, which course I presume will prove successful, if your children are here.

Regretting my inability to at once furnish the information you desire, and hoping that you may soon hear from your children, I remain,
