Dear Brother:

Yours of the 8th inst. is to hand, and from what I learn it seems altogether best for br Wesley Jolly and his wife Mary Ann to seperate, inasmuch as they cannot live together. For this reason I wish br Jolly to give her a bill of divorce, and to let her have her things and keep her child, without any further molestation from him at any time. I have inclosed a blank bill, which I wish you to have br Jolly and his wife sign, have br Jolly pay for it, hand him the copy marked "duplicate", his wife the copy marked "triplicate., and return to me the copy marked "original".

I also wish you to ascertain whether it would be right for the wife to have any share of br Jolly's property over and above her things, and, if so, determine the amount and kind and see that br Jolly pays it to her in such kind or kinds and at such time or times as you may decide.

Your early attention to the foregoing will oblige,

Your Brother in the Gospel.
