Elder John Eager,
Manti, Sanpete Co., U. T.

Dear Brother:

In reply to your note in reference to moving to Washington Co., &c., I take pleasure in informing you that I have and know of no objection to your doing so, provided you can so dispose of your property or otherwise arrange as to be able to do so advantageously. My circumstances and other business are of such a nature as to preclude my purchasing your property, aside from its being too far from my supervision to be of benefit in my operations.

Our immigrating companies have nearly all arrived, and the remainder will probably be here during next week and the week after. They have been greatly blest in their journeyings, arrive in good condition and spirits, and soon scatter to their new homes among their brethren and acquaintances.

The weather continues very pleasant, and the people are busy in securing their harvests, finishing buildings, and preparing for Winter.

Your Brother in the Gospel.

Brigham Young
