Br. Charles H. Oliphant:

My advice to you is to let the Bishop's trial <Probate Court> and all that is past alone, and go at once and see Charles Fox and Agnes, and in a right and kind spirit compromise all matters of difference between you according to justice and mutual rights.  The more you stir up the matter the worse you make it for yourself as well as them. They have toiled for your interests, you have been benefited by their labors, and they have rights that must be granted as well as yours, and depriving them of those rights cannot result to the advantage of any who undertake it.

I trust you will at once heed and act upon this advice in the spirit in which it is given, and in so doing not only do right, but also oblige

Brigham Young
