Dear Brother:

Your favor of the 11th inst. is to hand, and you are of course at full liberty to remain as long as you may wish in the house where you are living, though I presume your private business will probably urge you to arrange for removeing here at the earliest practicable date.

I was sorry to observe, in one paragraph in your letter, that your wisdom and experience were not yet sufficient to enable you to meet a change of position without imagining that such change was made from ill feeling toward you, when there was no such feeling existing. Please dismiss all such groundless surmisings, and continue steadfast in the truth.
