Bishop Robert Gardiner,
St. George, Washington Co. U. T.

Dear Brother:

Br. Jesse Tye of your place writes me that he wishes to assume and pay Sister Elizabeth Tite's (deceased) indebtedness to the P. E. Fund, which amounts to $47 83/100.

Please inquire as to how much and what kinds of property sister Tite possessed at the time of her decease; and, if a portion of that property, to the amount of her indebtedness, would not be more available to the Fund that the kind in which br. Tye can pay, inform br. Tye of the amount, and say to him that it will be most beneficial if paid in money, otherwise in the next most available kind of pay within his means, and at as early a date as practicable.

Your attention to the foregoing will oblige,

Your Brother in the Gospel,

Brigham Young
