Elder Bernard Snow:
Springville Utah Co., U. T.

Dear Brother:

I was much gratified with learning that your operations in the Dramatic line had proceeded so favorably thus far, and hope they may prove mutually interesting, instructive, and beneficial.

In regard to your assisting us for a time, after your present season is closed, though I should not have felt entirely at liberty to request it, still we shall be much pleased to have you do so.

The present known artistic adaptation and capability of our actresses are such that it is impossible to indicate, with certainty, a great variety or number of plays for you to occupy your leisure moments upon, but will venture to name Ingomar, Virginius, and the Iron Chest as plays we may probably be able to cast and perform successfully.

With the assistance of Mr Thomas A. Lyne, an actor of some celebrity and much experience, who formerly played in Nauvoo and is expected here in a few days, and who will probably act as preceptor, we hope to develope some latent talent that will enable us to cast plays now beyond our scope. Should this prove to be the case, and circumstances so shape, previous to your arrival, as to make it advantageous to change any of the above suggested plays, I will endeavor to give you timely advice thereof.

Your Brother in the Gospel,

Brigham Young
