Dear Sister:-

In reply to your note of the 13th inst., I suggest that it will be best for you to omit worrying about whose wife you will be in eternity, until you get there. Furthermore, I am sure that br. Dominicus Carter will in the resurrection know better than he now does how many wives he will then have. I am not aware of any law requiring you to be br Carter's wife, unless you yourself wish so to be. However, br. Carter should assist liberally in the maintenance, schooling, &c. of the children you <have> had by him, and I wish Bishop William Miller to see thatbr. Carter does so.

Please let Bishop Miller read this letter, that he may know my wish in regard to his seeing that br. Carter provides suitably for his children by you.

Your Brother in the Gospel,

Brigham Young
