Hiram Kimball,

Dear Brother:-

Herewith we furnish you your certificate and blessing as A Missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to the Sandwich Islands, and exhort you, with Great confidence, that you be zealous and strenuous in the faithful discharge of the duties and labors devolved upon you in your present calling; that you keep yourself pure and unspotted from the world; that you be true to the cause of truth you have espoused and to your God, and labor diligently and wisely for the
salvation of the souls of men, lifting your voice of warning unto repentance upon every fitting opportunity.

So soon as practicable, after your arrival on the Sandwich Islands, we wish you to report yourself to Elder Walter M. Gibson, and counsel with him in relation to the course best to persue, from time to time, to fill your Mission with the greatest amount of benifit to Yourself and those among whom you may labor.

That you may be enabled to honorably fulfill your Mission like a man of God, and in due time return to your family and friends in health and [gap in typescript] is the prayer of,
