Elder Jacob Hamblin,
Care of Postmaster at St George

Dear Brother:-

I have written to br. E. Snow in relation to Marring Moqui girls, informing him that the brethren were at liberty to do so; but that in case a person at the time had a wife, the parties would have to come here to have the ceremony performed, otherwise they can be married there. In the same letter I forwarded a blank bill of divorse for br. Andrew Gibbons and one of his wives to sign, with instructions to br. Snow about that case. I also wrote to br. Snow concerning contemplated operations east of the Colorado, informing him that it would probably not be best to make any move in making settlements in that region before next Fall; but that you, at your earliest convenience, with a few others who could accompany you without serious detriment to their business and other arrangements, could make w<c>ould make an exploring trip in that direction and report the facilities and adaptation for settlements there. After your report, we shall be better able to determine what will be best to be done in that region.

May you be blessed in your labors for the salvation of the red men in the scale of human existance.

Your Brother in the Gospel,

Brigham Young
