Dear Brother:

I herewith inclose you my draft no. 304, upon Hon. J. M. Bernhisel, for $3000.00 in your favor.

Do not let it go into the hands of bankers or brokers; but so soon as you receive it advise J. M. Bernhisel at Washington City and he will make arrangements to pay it at New York.

I have drawn upon you for $295.18 in favor of Kimball and Lawrence, at ten days after sight.
