Dear Sir:-

As I cannot imagine "the particular point" from which such a perversion was made, I herewith furnish a full report of the remarks in question. As they are not very lengthy, if you wish, I am willing for you to telegraph them in full to Mr Gamble.

In the remarks at the Mass Meeting I used some expressions rougher than is usual with me in public speaking, but you now have them as spoken, without qualification.
