Hon Frank Fuller,
Secretary for Utah.

Dear Sir:-

Mr Street's calling upon me on his return to California afforded so favorable an opportunity for forwarding a few lines, which he very courteously proffered to take, that I at once gladly improved it.

Please accept my thanks for the favors and communications you so kindly and promptly furnished me by Express, while I was absent on my late trip South, which was very pleasant.

At present affairs here are moving along very quietly, the citizens being busily occupied in their varied avocations, and others not operating in any open manner for disturbing the peace.-As Mr. Street is about starting, please do me the favor to receive the wi[word cut off] for the deed, in lieu of a lengthy letter, and accept of the best wishes for your success upon your journey, while in California, and your safe return, of

truly your friend

Brigham Young
