Enclosed please find an a/c against Lewis Grenard at Platte Bridge, for $293.75 now due Prest. B. Young. Will you be good enough to collect this, if possible, on your return to this City, & thus much oblige more persons than one

As most a/cs, against this class of persons men, are generally considered hard, you are authorized to close it the best possible manner

I have just learned that G. has a Cr. of 30$ against Government (now paid & in Prest. hands) which will go thus far towards cancelling the above leaving a bal. still due of $263.75. If you can do no better close by note drawing 10 per cent Int.
