Dear brother:

In regard to your inquiry concerning logs, in your not of the 1st inst., I have only to state that I said enough while I was there about logs and timber, to regulate the whole matter. For this reason I refer you and your queries to Pres. Erastus Snow, who is or can readily become familiar with the subject, and can, if necessary, call to his assistance br. Jacob Gates and other men, and let the matter of difference in
judgement be decided among yourselves upon principles of righteousness and strict equity to all concerned and then all go ahead and do your best toward building up yourselves in peace and righteousness, for in so doing you will help to establish the Kingdom of God upon the earth.
