Hon. H. Dollner,
Consul General of Denmark
New York City.

Sir:--
Directly upon the receipt of your letter of 8th May I caused a notice of inquiry to be interested in the "Deseret News" published in this City, and also wrote to Mr. Madsen, and in reply received his inclosed certificate of Mrs. Kjer's death. In reply to the notice in the "News" Mr. Andrew Engberg, living in this City, gave information which I considered best to have incorporated in an affidavit, which also please find inclosed.

As it may be of some benefit, or at least interesting to some of the relatives, I will add that from Messrs Madsen and Engberg I learn that Mrs. Kjer's son, Josias Jensen, and the only surviving member of the family, is living at Deseret City, Millard County, Utah Territory

The Notarial charges for Mr Engberg's affidavit are three dollars, which if you see proper to remit will leave me no further expense in the matter than the trouble of procuring the information, and to my services in the case both yourself and the parties concerned are welcome.

Trusting that the information herewith forwarded will fully satisfy your requirement, I subscribe myself,

Respectfully

Brigham Young

P. S.
Owing to the temporary absence of the Governor the papers were delayed to this
time for his signature, but I trust they will be in time.
