Mr Frederick Ursenback, City.

Dear Brother:-

Your favor of the 17th inst. came to hand when I was busy preparing for my trip to cache Valley, otherwise it would have received more prompt attention.

Your intention of re-visiting, with your family, your native land is very natural, and your views for so doing are pleasant and flattering, and I trust you may not be disappointed in realizing their accomplishment and be instrumental in doing all the good you anticipate, for which and other good reasons your return to Switzerland will meet with no objection from me, and previous to your departure we shall be pleased to set you apart and give you the suitable credentials for A mission to your native land.

In the meantime, as you do not purpose starting until next spring, we should be pleased to have you take a home mission throughout the Territory, wherever brethren are located who understand the language you are familiar with, and cheer, comfort and console them, thereby using a portion of your time, that might otherwise pass heavily, in doing a work beneficial to yourself and many others; and much oblige,

Your Brother in the Gospel,
Brigham Young
