Dr. Bro.

In view of the scarcity of grain & the increased demand over past years, we are induced to write to you specially on the subject of gathering in & properly securing all the grain due the Church on Tithing, on P. E. F. Co. & Deseret News office indebtedness & on donations to the Missionary Fund, in your Ward.

To further the accomplishment of the end desired you should visit every Member of the Ward & learn the amount of grain, stock, cash &c raised & made & see that the tenth is duly paid in & punctually & if any one refuses to pay his proper Tithing in its kind, it should we think be made a matter of fellowship

We shall expect you to be punctual & energetic in all these matters as it will no longer do to evade duties & obligations of so much importance
