Dear Brother:-

In reply to your note of the 28th inst., just handed to me by Bishop Hess, I have to inform you that I anticipate the pleasure of being at your house to partake of your hospitality on Friday evening, January 8th.

It is at present doubtful whether the health of Presidents Kimball and Wells will permit them to accompany me; should they be well enough to do so, they will also, doubtless, be pleased to accept your kind proffer.

I shall also be pleased to have you accommodate my Guard, say some three or four; and I shall probably bring a few of my folks with me.
