Sir:-

A letter from your wife, Mr's M. P. Killian, dated Jan. 12th, came to hand on the 3d inst., and I prefer addressing my reply to you, especially as your wife stated that it would answer the same purpose.

We expect, as usual, to send ox trains to Florence, Nebraska Territory for freight and to bring such persons as may be there ready and wishing to come here but unable buy animals and waggons for their transportation, they paying for their passage there in advance, if able, otherwise paying it after their arrival here, as soon as they become able to do so.

The trains will probably reach Florence on or before the first of July next, in readiness to load and return, and should you and your family be there at the time they will doubtless be able to accomodate you with passage accross the plains.

Mr. Joseph W. Young, our agent for the transaction of immigration business in Florence this season, expects to start from here for that place in A short time, and I suggest that you correspond with him on the subject, addressing your letter to him at Omaha, (which is near florence) Nebraska Territory, mentioning that I have written to you that you can probably be accomadated with passage in our trains next summer, which is all the assistance our circumstances permit us to extend at present.
