Elder Erastus Snow,
St. George, Washington County, U. T.

Dear Brother:

Your favor, Ceder City, March 1, is to hand. Yes, let the brethren in Washington County and other places streatch out and fill up new locations; as fast as they can profitably and safely do so. And perhaps some of the brethren from Parowan had better streatch out west as well, in some of the choicest locations that br. J. D. Lee and company visited. As to the time of streatching out, why let it be, in each proposed location, whenever enough are disposed to go to make the settlement safe.

I inclose a Trustee in Trust Order on Bishop Farnsworth to pay you two hundred dollars ($200 00/100) in Stock, to accomodate you with the unbroken steers you wished for in your letter of the above named date. For this accomodation I wish you to return said steers to me, well broken, at the end of twelve months from the date you receive them, and also pay me for such of said steers as may die or be lost while in your possession.

It is not consistant with my business in City Creek to spare br Wilcox, even for a short time. I do not know anything about br Silver's qualifications as a sawyer.

I am pleased with the spirit of improvement in St. George, and that they have the canal ready for this season's farming operations. I trust there will be no trouble about  water this season in your region.

Your Brother in the Gospel,

Brigham Young
