Mr. Wm. W. Rockhill,

Dear Brother,

The Minutes of your case, as taken by the Clerk of the High Council, were read by the First Presidency, and it was decided that the decision of the High Council should be sustained. We think that the High Council dealt justly by you, and that their decision was as lenient as possible and as favorable to you as it could be under the circumstances. We could do no better for you than they have done, and we think that if you have the light and knowledge which it is your privilege to enjoy, you will not complain of their decision.

I remain, your Brother in the Lord,

Brigham Young
