Dear Brother,

Your letter of the 2nd inst. on the subject of my Carding Machines has been received. I could not part with a Machine on the terms you propose. I want the money for them now, if I sell; and if I cannot get the pay for which I have advertised, I shall keep them, as I have plenty of employment for them.
