Dear Brother,

We have received the name of Bro. Gustin from your Ward as a volunteer to go to the Colorado.

Bro. G. had better arrange for some person, either himself or some member of his family, to go down South on his behalf, and select and secure some land put in grain, &c., right away, that there may be something provided to sustain his family by the time he shall take them down. When this person reaches St. George, he should report himself to Bro. Erastus Snow, who will be able to counsel him where to settle.
