Your favor of Jan 22, on the subject of N. C. Jenson's adultery, has been received.

The proper course to take with this man is to deal with him according to the Book of Doc. & Cov. He should make ample restitution for the great wrong that he has committed -- a restitution that will satisfy his brethren, and then he can be re-baptized. We must allow men an opportunity of repentance until they have placed themselves beyond the claims of mercy.
