Dear Brother Edward:

This will introduce to my third son, John Willard Young, who is appointed a Mission to Europe (where my second son Brigham, Jr. is at present) to preach the gospel.

I have requested him to call upon you at your home and give you all the news about the family here, thinking that it will be interesting to you.

He will be accompanied by Elder John T. Caine, who will go no further than the Eastern States, and will return here during the Summer. We would like you to come out here and live, and if you should conclude to do so, which we hope you will, Mr. Caine will be able to render you considerable assistance in counselling you about fitting up &c. &c., as he will be engaged in the business of the emigration of our people from the Eastern States and from Europe. With love to yourself and family, and praying the Lord to bless you

I remain
Your Brother
