Dear Brother:-Bro. Thomas Taylor has partly moved his merchandize down, I understand to your place, and contemplates moving the balance down there in a little while under the charge of his brother William, whose name, I believe, is associated with Thomas'.

I should be pleased to have you let Bro. Taylor pass for the present without paying Tithing on his merchandize. He is now off to the States on a Mission, acting as Church Emigration Agent, and will be gone some months. He is very heavily in debt, through bringing out the poor this last season, not less, probably than $10,000.00, and if he can pay his debts it will be all he can do without paying his tithing. We feel well towards him for the zeal and energy which he has displayed, and are desirous to see him freed from his embarrassments.
