Your note of the 10th inst. expressing a desire to join the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints and asking for a copy of the "Scrip(tures") has been received.

By applying to Elder Wm. H. M(iles) whose office is 117 John Street New York, and post(Office)address, box 3957 you can get the book of Mormon which was translated by Joseph Smith, and all (other) information necessary to enable you to enter into the Church Elder Miles is presiding over the scattered branches of the Church in the East.

There are several Elders (from) here who are also in New York at the present time (atten)ding to business; among the rest, Elders Thomas Ta(ylor) and John T Caine; they can also give you the inform(ation) which you desire and also respecting our organizations here.
