Dear Brother:-

I have received a letter from your wife, Leah T. Miles, under date of the 25th inst., in which she informs me of your condition that Your health is so poor that you cannot possibly respond to the call which was made upon you to remove South.

In making that call, we did not expect or require persons in your condition to go. You can, therefore, consider yourself released from the Southern Mission.

May the Lord bless you and give you comfort and restore you to health.
