Dear Brother:--

I wrote to Brother Milne, in reply to his and Bro. Spencer's letter that they had better go to work until they could get an opportunity to come on. The chances for finding a suitable company to travel with to this place from California are few, and as the brethren had a little money, it will be better for them to go to work and sustain themselves and save their money.

So far as I know, they are all at San Francisco yet. By addressing a letter to Mr. Dwight Eveleth, San Francisco, he will hand it to them, if they are there. He is an Elder in the Church.

Your Brother

Brigham Young
