Elder Curtis E. Bolton,

Dear Brother:

I have received a letter from your wife, Ellen M. Bolton, in which she states that she went to Provo about one year ago last December, and while she was gone your family was broken up and the property divided and she was left without as much as a bed to lay upon. She says, further, that she has labored hard to cloth her children; but now she feels her health failing, and she needs your help.

You should obtain a house for her and take steps to assist her in providing for and maintaining her children.

I remain Your Brother,

Brigham Young
