Elder A. M. Harmon,
Washington Washington Co.

Dear Brother:-

I am much pleased to hear from you, in your letter of the 26th ult., respecting your progress in building the Factory.

In relation to the prices of goods which you get there, I scarcely think that you ought to expect them at Salt Lake Prices, with carriage only added. If you get Southern prices for your work, you should also expect to pay Southern prices for goods. If you were here trading, of course you would get goods at Salt Lake prices, and you could haul them; but when we have to look after them here, and freight them, and have all the risk and expence connected with procuring them here, freighting <them> and disposing of them there, I think I ought to get the prices which rule there. Still, I do not want bro. Woolley to charge
more than a fair price for all this.

I will be able to let you have a wagon and will send it by the first opportunity.

With love
I remain your Brother,

Brigham Young
