Dear Nephew:-

Your letter of the instant has been received and perused.

As you seem to be willing and desirous to move to some place where you can have a good chan I should propose that instead of moving north, you move South to Cove Creek, and take up your residence there.

We are desirous to keep up that place, it being a half way place between Fillmore and Beaver. It is owned by Brother Judson Stoddard, who bought it, knowing that it was desirable that it should be kept up. His interests require his time at home, and he has not been able to bestow much if any attention upon it. He would part with it on reasonable terms, or I presume you could arrange with him to rent it.

There are buildings, corrals, &c., there and it is a good hay ranch. If you want to get ahead, I think that would be a good place for you to go to.

With love I remain Yours in the Gospel

Brigham Young
